The Cranleigh Cottage Hospital

Facilities

by | Mar 28, 2025

“It is constructed like most of the Surrey cottages, the lower storey built of brick and the upper framed in wood, the walls being lath and plaster, weather tiled on the outside”

The Handy Book of Cottage Hospitals by Dr Swete, 1870.

From the outside the small 15th century cottage appears today almost exactly as it did when Dr Swete reviewed it in the Victorian era. However, that doctor would be surprised now if he saw the modern amenities inside the rooms available for hire for wellbeing or office-based work:

  • Heating & Insulation
The building benefits from modern heating and insulation systems ensuring a comfortable environment throughout the year and increased energy efficiency
  • Kitchen Facilities
A stainless-steel kitchenette is available on the ground floor, equipped with a kettle, cups, plates, and cutlery – perfect for preparing light snacks or refreshments during events or meetings
  • Toilet Facilities
Conveniently located toilet facilities are available on the ground floor, including accessible WCs designed to accommodate a wide range of users
  • Ground Floor Rooms
A generously sized ground floor space, ideal for gentle exercise classes, group activities, or larger meetings. This room features:
    • Low ceilings (exact height to be confirmed)
    • A large, wall-mounted AV screen for presentations or media display (Size: 65inch screen)
    • Collapsible chairs and tables
    • Maximum capacity: 24 persons (subject to fire regulations)

A smaller room with its own entrance and well-suited for private consultancy sessions or smaller meetings

  • First Floor Rooms
Upstairs, the property offers two additional rooms, well-suited for private consultancy sessions or smaller meetings
  • Parking
For parking use Village Way Car Park

Due to the size of space this is not suitable for birthday parties.
